Consentino Weekly Update

Good morning Charger Nation!

Happy Saturday!

We had a successful first week at Consentino, and following the Labor Day weekend, we’re looking forward to getting started with a real push toward content!

To help us better understand where our students are academically, on Wednesday and Thursday of this week, we’ll administer the iReady Diagnostic assessment in both Math and Reading. We administer this assessment three times each year to monitor progress toward grade-level proficiency in reading and math. In addition to providing a wealth of diagnostic information to us, the program builds an individualized digital learning pathway for each student that will be used during our WIN blocks.

We have a few important upcoming events, first is our 7th Annual Back to School BBQ on September 12th from 5:30-7pm. This event is FREE to all of our students and their families to celebrate our return. Second is our return of Fright Night and the haunted locker room on October 30th starting at 5pm. This was an awesome event last year, and this year, we’re aiming for bigger and better!

Arrival and dismissal are going well, but traffic is still pretty heavy; we’re hopeful that levels off a bit as more kids start walking or taking the bus. Here are a few reminders:

  • Our space is tight. If your child is eligible to take a bus or can walk/ride a bike, we highly encourage it.
  • Please do not go into the staff parking lot (front gravel area) or cut in between the rows of the Silver Hill parking lot. Traffic must go all the way around the circle and alongside the bus canopy.
  • Please pull up as far as possible and close gaps as they open. This ensures Washington St is clear and our buses can get in/out.
  • There is no parking on Washington St
  • Right turns only onto Washington St
  • During pick-up, the parking lot will be closed to traffic until 2:30pm. Please do not come to the campus before that point.

As a reminder, there is NO SCHOOL this Monday, September 2nd.

See you Tuesday!
