Consentino Weekly Update 8/17/24

Good morning Charger Nation!

Happy Saturday!

We are just over a week away from the start of the 2024-2025 School Year and we are incredibly excited for what this year will bring! We’re particularly excited about our implementation of a Community Schools Model starting this year through our partnership with the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. This is a great opportunity not only for Consentino, but our community as a whole. To learn more about the model, please visit https://www.nea.org/student-success/great-public-schools/community-schools/what-are-they.

As a reminder, to view our school calendar, please bookmark https://consentino.haverhill-ps.org/events/.

Through the generosity of several community partners, backpacks full of supplies for students are available for students in need. Consentino is expected to bring in around 100 backpacks over the course of the next two weeks. Additionally, our Parent Resource Center located at the Burnham School on Fountain St. has backpacks available. If you are in need, please feel free to visit the Resource Center or reach out to me directly.

Additionally, UTEC is hosting a Summer is Over Event on Aug 22nd from 4pm-7pm at 241 Winter St. in Haverhill.  They will have food, beverages, raffles, and live. Haircuts will also be raffled off in addition to MORE backpacks for students in need.

We are so fortunate to have such a caring and generous community. Thank you to all!

Have a great weekend!
