Good morning Charger Families,
Over the course of the next few days, information regarding resources during school closures will be relayed by the Office of the Superintendent. We do know that Consentino will be a location where our students will be able to pick up “to go” style meals during the break. The exact times of these meal pick ups will be determined over the course of the weekend and sent out to the district.
While our students are out of school, we want to do as much as we can to ensure they have access to some sort of academic material. As a result, we have taken the following steps:
1. The HPS Curriculum Department has partnered with Haverhill Community TV to air educational programming. This information will be available on the district website in the coming days.
2. Various curriculum materials have been added to the HPS website under “Supportive Home Learning Resources” found at the following link: https://www.haverhill-ps.org/supportive-home-learning-resou…/.
3. Students may access any of the online programs used in schools such as iReady, McGraw-Hill Social Studies textbook/activities (Grades 6-8) and STEMScopes using their regular HPS username and password. The launchpad containing those links can be found at the following link: https://home.haverhill-ps.org/.
4. By mid-week next week, many teachers will offer material via Google Classroom. Google Classroom can be accessed using the launchpad link above.
5. iReady packets for Reading and Math have been printed for all grades and will be in the Main Office beginning at 10am on Monday March 16th. We plan to have these packets available Monday-Friday of next week from 10am-1pm. We are hopeful that this timeline will coincide with that of the meal pickup.
None of these options make up for the time that we are losing with our students, and as we know this is a difficult time for all, we are not requiring that it be done. Students who do not participate will not be penalized. That being said, we are making this available to students as we think it is in their best interest to stay as engaged as possible during the next few weeks.

En el transcurso de los próximos días, la Oficina del Superintendente transmitirá información sobre los recursos durante el cierre de las escuelas. Sabemos que Consentino será un lugar donde nuestros estudiantes podrán recoger comidas estilo “para llevar” durante el descanso. Los horarios exactos de estas comidas se determinarán durante el fin de semana y se enviarán al distrito.
Mientras nuestros estudiantes están fuera de la escuela, queremos hacer todo lo posible para asegurarnos de que tengan acceso a algún tipo de material académico. Como resultado, hemos tomado los siguientes pasos:
