Message from the Principal
Hello Consentino Families1
This year, Haverhill Public Schools is partnering with the organization, STOMP Out Bullying , for World Day of Bullying Prevention, observed on Mondays in October. We are encouraging all staff and students to wear BLUE on Mondays throughout the month to signify peace and the importance of prevention (#BlueUp). We also have some contests and activities planned to spread awareness.
There is a new method for signing up for sports this year. Haverhill Public Schools has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows you to complete and sign athletic participation forms for your students. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season to season and year to year, so you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information for each of your students wherever possible, saving you time. Please register at: https://haverhillps-ma.finalforms.com/ and follow the prompts to create your account, create your students, and sign your forms. Directions are attached below.
Please be aware that if you are picking up a student for an afternoon appointment, please arrive no later than 2:00 because there is limited parking and long lines.
If you haven’t returned the green information sheets or the health forms, please do so this week.
Performing Arts
Advanced Band:
Advanced band students will have their first meeting (without instruments) on Wednesday, September 9th, from 10:35-11:05 in the cafeteria. All band forms and a schedule will be handed out at this meeting.
The first day of small-group lessons for advanced band students (with instruments) will be on Tuesday, September 15th.
Beginning Band:
The 5th-grade beginning band instrument demonstration will be held on Monday, September 14th, during school hours. Sign-up packets and an online sign-up link will go home that evening and are due back by Tuesday, September 22nd.
Student Council
Student Council: Student Council meetings will start on Tuesday, September 15th. If you were in the student council last year, you will be added to a new Google Classroom where you can find announcements and other important information. If you are interested in joining the student council, stay tuned for more information!
Chorus
Hello Consentino families. Chorus will be offered during the school day for all grades this year. Sign-up sheets with more details will be coming soon. Our Winter concert will be on December 8th. We look forward to seeing you there.
Yearbook:
Permission slips for any 8th grader interested in joining the yearbook club have been given out to homeroom teachers. Please return permission slips to Ms. Shea by 9/25. Our first meeting will be 10/5.
Middle School Field Hockey:
Exciting news is on the horizon for our young athletes! ![]()

We are thrilled to announce that Middle School Field Hockey is officially coming in Spring 2027! We can't wait to see our future players build confidence, learn new skills, and make lifelong memories on the field.
Bus Routes
Look online at the Haverhill Public School’s website (Transportation Department) for bus routes and times. Bus passes will be distributed to students in the second week of school. Students need to have their passes to scan on and off the bus so we can track them in case of an emergency. Please encourage your child to use their bus pass at all times. Rest assured, we have strict safety measures on the bus to ensure your child's safety. Students can board the bus without a bus pass while bus passes are being distributed.
Please note the walk zones by grade:
Grades K-3: If the student lives within 1 mile of the school, they are a walker.
Grades 4-6: If the student lives within 1.5 miles of the school, they are a walker.
Grades 7-12: If the student lives within 2 miles of the school, they are a walker.
Exceptions to this rule are determined by the Superintendent.
Technology
HPS offers the opportunity to protect school-issued devices for the school year by paying a Device Waiver Fee. As outlined in the HPS Student Technology Device Policy, this $20 fee will help to cover the costs of potential damage, repair, or loss for the school year for the assigned device. Please note: issues of theft should still be reported to the police. The $20 covers 1 student for 1 school year. So families with more than one student will have to sign each student up separately. Some of the replacement costs are as follows:
Charger - $39
LCD Screen - $80
Top/Bottom Cover - $30-$35
Keyboard $70
Trackpad $15
Device Replacement Costs (when Chromebook is unrepairable) $199
You can find more information on our website:

Parent Resources
Want to learn more about your child’s grades, schedules, report cards, and more? Please go to the parent resource page for more information. You can sign up for a parent account by emailing portalsupport@haverhill-ps.org. When you email portal support, give them your full name, your child’s name, your email address, and the school your child attends.
Community Schools
Site Council
Our Consentino Site Council will soon participate in a training day as we prepare to get our council officially up and running for the school year.
The Site Council is an important part of collaborative leadership and shared decision-making at our school. It brings school staff, families, and community representatives together to help inform school priorities and support continuous improvement.
We want our families and community to have a meaningful voice in the work happening at Consentino.
Interested in joining us?
If you are a student, parent/caregiver or community member interested in becoming part of the Consentino Site Council, please email me!

More information about our first meeting will be shared soon.
Positive Action Begins Next Week!
Our Positive Action Program, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club, will begin next week!
Positive Action provides students with additional opportunities to develop social-emotional skills, build positive relationships, strengthen confidence, and feel a greater sense of connection and belonging at school.
Students who have been referred to participate will receive a notification on Monday, along with an opt-out form to bring home to their parent/caregiver.
We are excited to welcome our new groups and get started!
Monthly Food Distribution Is Returning
Our Consentino food distribution will be starting again soon! This year, food distribution will take place once a month on the third Friday of each month.
If your family—or a family you know—is experiencing food insecurity or could use some additional food support, please reach out to us. We want families to know that support is available and that they are always welcome to connect with our Community School.
A Special Thank You to Our Community Partners
We are incredibly grateful to Merrimack Valley Food Bank for providing Consentino with food every month to support our students and families.
We also want to extend a huge thank-you to AutoFair Subaru of Haverhill for making an incredible commitment to our school: each month, their team will pick up our food from the Merrimack Valley Food Bank and deliver it directly to Consentino.
Partnerships like these make our Community School possible. We are so grateful to have organizations that are willing to give their time, resources, and support to help care for our Consentino community.
Thank you for showing up for our families!
Winter Clothing Donations Coming Soon
As colder weather approaches, we will soon begin accepting winter clothing donations to help make sure our students have the essentials they need.
We will specifically be collecting:
Hoodies • Sweatpants • Socks • Gloves • Winter Hats
If you or your family need assistance with winter clothing, please reach out to me. If you are a community member, staff member, organization, or partner who would like to donate, I would also love to hear from you!
More information about our winter donation drive will be shared soon.
