Haverhill Community Resource Fair

In collaboration with the City of Haverhill and Community Action Inc., the Office of Rep. Andy Vargas hosted a Community Resource Fair at the Haverhill Citizen Center.

Residents connected with local organizations, learned about available support programs, and explored helpful community resources.

We were glad to have Jenniffer Cabrera-Vicente (Consentino Community School Coordinator), Nimcy Guerra (Nettle Community School Coordinator), and Maritza Martinez (District Family Engagement Specialist) representing Haverhill Public Schools.

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is a cornerstone of this work. Families are not just participants but co-creators of school culture and decision-making

Powerful Student and Family Engagement: Parents’ voices shape priorities, programs, and partnerships

Collaborative Leadership and Shared Power: The PAC ensures decisions reflect the collective wisdom of families, staff, and students

Culture of Belonging, Safety, and Care: Parent leadership helps create a school climate where every family feels valued and included

Integrated Systems of Support: The PAC helps identify community needs and connects families to resources
