Hello Families,
Hope you all are enjoying the nice weather, and Happy Mother’s (or Mothers’) Day to all the Moms out there!!
Thank you to the PTO and their volunteers who come in every Friday to run the snack shack in the cafeteria - the students love anything extra on a Friday. Thank you also to the amazing families who participated in Teacher Appreciation Week! We all enjoyed the breakfasts, coffee, swag, taco truck, and the truly warm feelings!!
As you know, I walk through the new building every week to check on the progress and look for punch list items. Every time I leave, I am so excited to see this amazing space that our children deserve. We are scheduled to walk the current students through a quick first-floor peek on June 12th and bring the new incoming 5th-grade student through once we are officially ready to share the entire space. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the ribbon cutting on June 15. The students are now creating mementos for the time capsule, which will be opened in 65 years.
We have finished ELA and Math MCAS. Next week, we will start Science MCAS for grades 8 and 5.

Multicultural Night
Just wanted to remind everyone that we will be hosting our second annual Multicultural Night this May 21st from 5:oopm-7:00 pm. This will be a wonderful celebration of the beautiful cultures our school community can commemorate through art, music, poetry, dance, food, and so much more!
To make this event a success, we are asking our school community to get involved. We are looking for parent, student, and staff volunteers to show our students how to dance, make a delicious dish, share music, poetry, art, and whatever else you are willing to share with our school community! We have a volunteer form to sign up to bring food for a potluck-style meal, as we did last year, as well as to ask for volunteers to run different activities, such as teaching our students different dance styles (merengue, bachata, etc.). We look forward to celebrating with all of you and ask that you please fill out this volunteer Google form to let us know how you would like to contribute to Multicultural Night: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSel9k0OE7PEJZrDYAfSXgxqIdG5xbQSBWTRHmCYWYNzsT1ECQ/viewform
