Consentino Weekly Update- 6/7/25

Good morning Charger Nation!

Happy LAST Saturday of the 2024-2025 School Year! We are really in the final stretch now!

Last week, our 8th graders had a fun-filled week visiting the nation’s capital. Despite a few hiccups with buses and tour guides, the kids (and staff) had a great time. Our students were fantastic ambassadors of the Haverhill Public Schools, and we’re extremely proud of them. For many of us, this class has been one in that we made great connections, and having the privilege to spend time with them in a different setting before they head off to high school was great. They will be missed!

This week, our 7th and 8th graders head to Canobie Lake before celebrating our 210 8th graders at our Promotion Ceremony on Tuesday evening. Please read the information below carefully regarding the ceremony.

Our last day of school is this Thursday, June 12th. Students will be dismissed at 11:05 am. This IS a school day and does count for attendance purposes. 8th graders will be given their yearbooks that morning. Report cards for Trimester 3 will be posted to the SchoolBrains Community Portal by 4 pm on Thursday. Printed report cards will be given on request.

Homeroom assignments for 2025-2026 will be communicated prior to the start of the school year in August. Please stay tuned for updates over the summer.

Finally, as I mentioned, 7th and 8th grade are heading to Canobie on Monday, but we are carefully watching the weather. If anything changes, we will communicate that as soon as we can.

Below is information on the Promotion Ceremony and upcoming dates.

Have a great weekend!

8th Grade Promotion
8th grade promotion is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10th at 5:30 pm. Students will need to be in their homerooms by 5 pm. Families should bring their own chairs to set up around the front courtyard with the ceremony will take place. If the ceremony needs to move indoors due to inclement weather, all students will be limited to TWO guests. Let’s hope for fair weather!

While we do not recommend dismissing your student early on promotion day to get ready but if you do, students must remain at school until 11:30 am. Students must be dismissed by an adult on their profile. We will not release to emergency contacts without a phone call from the parent/guardian first. Please bring a government-issued ID if you choose to dismiss your student. Student will NOT be dismissed on their own to walk home.

Historically, there have been many dismissals, so please be patient with our staff as we ensure students are dismissed safely to the appropriate adults.

As a reminder, only students being PROMOTED are invited to the dance following the ceremony. Students required to attend the Bridge program are not eligible to attend. Students attending the dance must be picked up by 9 pm.
