Good morning Charger Nation!
Happy drizzly Saturday! Today’s rain is supposed to break for a gorgeous Mother’s Day tomorrow…fingers crossed! Happy Mother’s Day to all of our moms!
We had a solid week this week at Consentino with our 5th and 6th graders absolutely killing it on Math MCAS! Our 7th graders knocked it out of the park yesterday and will finish strong on Monday. 8th grade is up next, starting on Tuesday, followed by our 5th and 8th grade Science testing on Thursday. As a reminder, we postponed Session 2 of Science MCAS, originally scheduled for next Friday (5/16), which will push the Civics MCAS out by one day. The updated schedule is below.
As we move toward the end of the year, we have a few exciting upcoming events on the horizon. The first is our Spring Concert, which will be held in our cafe this Monday (5/12) at 6 pm. Admission is free, but concessions will be available for purchase to support Consentino Performing Arts. These kids have been working so har,d and we’re thrilled to have them show off their hard work over the course of the year. Please stop by if you can!
The second event is our Expressions of Us Event on May 22nd. This event showcases the various arts offered at Consentino and the unbelievable talents possessed by so many in our community. We’ll also be offering tours of the school and information regarding arts, clubs, and sports for our rising 5th graders. Looking forward to seeing familiar and NEW faces at the event! The event is FREE to all, with concessions available for purchase to support the efforts of our Climate Committee.
An information session for students interested in girls soccer at HHS will be held in the cafe on May 22nd at 2 pm.
Our NJHS Induction is scheduled for May 29th at 6 pm in the cafe. Mr. Sullivan will be communicating with NJHS students and invited inductees in the coming weeks.
To our 7th and 8th grade Loop Program families, Loop classes end on June 3rd.
The 8th grade Promotion Ceremony will take place on June 10th. Students must be at school by 5 pm, with the ceremony starting promptly at 5:30 pm. The dinner/dance will immediately follow the ceremony and is open to Consentino 8th graders only who are on the promotion list (passing 3/4 core content classes). More information will be sent by the Gr. 8 team in the coming weeks.
Students in 7th and 8th grade who are required to attend the Bridge Program will receive a letter from me in the coming days. It is very important that you register your child as soon as possible to avoid them being retained in grade.
Please see below for some important updates and upcoming dates. Enjoy your weekend and Happy Mothers Day!
