Good morning Charger Nation! Happy Saturday!
April Vacation is about to end, and I am hopeful that everyone was able to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather we had over the course of the week. I know for myself it was a nice reprieve to recharge before hitting the ground running for a strong end to the school year.
This week will be a busy one at Consentino as kids settle back with Monday’s PRIDE reset, followed by some last-minute MCAS prep so we can knock Math out of the park later this week, starting with Grade 5 (see schedule below).
As we head into the end of the year, I would like to remind our 7th and 8th-grade families that students must pass 3 out of 4 of their core content classes in order to be promoted to the next grade level. Students not meeting these criteria will be required to attend the Bridge Program at Haverhill High School over the summer. Please review your child’s grades carefully over the next few months (progress reports out 5/6) and feel free to reach out to your child’s teachers directly with any questions.
The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will take place on 6/10 at 5:30 pm. The ceremony will take place outside near our main entrance and is open to all family members, but we ask that each family limit to 6 attendees. Families are invited to bring their own lawn chairs. Should we need to pivot to indoors due to inclement weather, all students will be limited to two guests. The dinner and dance (students only) will follow the ceremony. Only students being promoted may attend the dinner and dance.
Both our 7th and 8th grade classes will attend Canobie Lake on June 9th. Our 5th graders will head to Strawberry Bank in Portsmouth this week on 4/29 and 5/1.
We are in the process of planning for the removal of the 1969 time capsule housed in the cornerstone of the existing building in celebration of the roughly 1-year mark until the NEW Consentino is occupied. Construction is certainly coming along! At this point we are looking at the last week in May. Stay tuned!
Finally, we’re really excited to formally announce our Expressions of Us event on May 22nd from 5-7 pm! Artwork, sculptures, writing, projects, etc., created by our fabulous Chargers, will be displayed around our school gym. We will also have amazing performances by our advanced band, chorus, drama club, and solo performances by some of our extremely talented Chargers! Admission is free, but refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the night! For more information, please see the attached flyer. Hope you can join us!
Looking forward to seeing everyone back to school on Monday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
