Good morning Charger Nation!
Happy Saturday and happy February!
At this point, our Multilingual learner students have finished ACCESS testing. They did an amazing job and we are very proud of their hard work. Special shoutout to Ms. Rivera, Ms. Picariello, Ms. Licciardi, Mrs. Canavan, and Mrs. George for their hard work with this group of students!
Congratulations to our girl’s basketball team, who took home their THIRD CONSECUTIVE championship this past Wednesday. The game was probably the most intense middle school athletic event I’ve ever seen. The grit and determination was insane. Shoutout to Ms. Kimball and Mr. Angelo for their coaching! Also, a big thank you to our Charger Cheerleaders and Ms. Messina for another great season. Looking forward to seeing their performance at the Haverhill Showcase on Sunday!
We have a lot of events coming up including our volleyball tryouts and one last opportunity for our 8th graders to sign up for the DC trip.
Have a great weekend!

Family Survey
As we approach the 100th day of school it is time to ask for your important feedback. Please take a few moments to answer our brief survey. If you have multiple children at the school please only answer once. Thank you in advance for your help!
NFI HOPE
We are thrilled to introduce HOPE, a transformative program designed to provide treatment, education, and support to students in Haverhill Public Schools. Through a compassionate and student-centered approach, HOPE empowers teens to overcome challenges and develop lifelong skills.
HOPE offers free, confidential services that include:
-
Treatment and education on alcohol and other drugs to help students understand risks, build awareness, and make safer choices.
-
Group and individual therapy to foster self-esteem, resilience, and emotional well-being.
-
Skill-building sessions focused on healthy communication, relationships, and boundaries.
Our program follows a harm-reduction approach, equipping students with the tools they need to navigate challenges confidently while supporting their journey toward healthier decisions and lifestyles.
HOPE is entirely free and does not require insurance, thanks to funding from the city of Haverhill. To participate, parents or guardians must complete a consent form and attend a brief intake session with a licensed clinician from NFI Massachusetts.
If you would like to sign your child up for the HOPE program or have questions, please use this form.
Clothing Collection:
We are collecting gently used or new winter clothing donations, specifically sweaters, sweatpants, and socks, to help our students stay warm during the colder months. Your generosity will make a real difference in providing comfort and warmth to our students. If you are able to assist please reach out to Mrs. Cabrera at jenniffer.cabreravicente@haverhill-ps.org or by calling our main number.
