Consentino Weekly Update- 11/23/24

Good morning Charger Nation!

Happy Saturday!

As we head into Thanksgiving this week I think we have a lot to be thankful for here at Consentino. Stating the obvious, we have a nearly 200,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility starting to take shape behind us! Aside from the mammoth structure, we’re also fortunate to be a very tight-knit community that supports one another in times of need. The number of donations we received to help members of our community in need during the holidays has been overwhelming! We will continue to take donations as we head into Christmas and our annual gift drive GoFundMe is now open. If you are able to help out, please visit https://gofund.me/b97b179a.

One of the strengths of Consentino has always been the rich diversity of our school community. To that end, on December 12th we will host our first Multicultural Night from 5-7 pm! There will be food samplings, raffles, music, community resources, and more! So far, we have parents representing the Philippines, Haiti, and Ireland! Staff is showing up big and sharing sample foods from Mexico, Norway, Italy, Scotland, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Albania and Norway! Our students are extremely excited and are currently helping us create displays of each country! We also have some brave students who will be singing in different languages!

This is a community event and will be made possible with parent, guardian, family and staff volunteers!

If you are interested in attending and/or volunteering for this event please register via the link or the QR code below:

You can also send the school an email if that is easier: Jenniffer.cabreravicente@haverhill-ps.org. This is a free event!

Ways to support this event:

  • Wear clothing that represents your culture

  • Make and give out bite-size food from your culture (bring in a flag for your table and post ingredients in case of any allergies.)

  • Bring in items from your culture to display

  • Offer a performance that represents your culture

  • Offer an activity that represents your culture

  • Donate a raffle basket

  • Anything else you’d like to offer just let us know!

As a reminder, this Wednesday is an early dismissal. Students will be released at 11:05 am and there will be no school on Thursday or Friday. School will reopen on December 2nd. As I mentioned in a previous communication, Report Cards will be posted to the SchoolBrains Community Portal by 4pm on December 2nd. If you do not have portal access, please visit https://www.haverhill-ps.org/technology/athome/portal/. Printed report cards will not be sent home.

Please remember students should not be on school grounds before 8:05 am unless they are in the morning Discovery Program or a specific before school activity such as Art Club.

Below you’ll find some important announcements and upcoming dates. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

We hope you have a great weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving!
