Consentino Weekly Update- 11/15/24

Good evening Charger Nation!

Happy Friday!

Tomorrow some of the district’s systems will go offline for maintenance for a few hours. As a result, access to school email and platforms will be interrupted for most of the day. As a result, we wanted to get the weekly update out a little early.

Over the next few weeks we will continue gathering non-perishable Thanksgiving fixings to start assembling Thanksgiving baskets for members of our community who might need a little extra help this year. If you are able to contribute, please feel free to send items with your student to drop off near the Main Office or swing by the school yourself. For more information, please reach out to Jenniffer Cabrera-Vicente at jenniffer.cabreravicente@haverhill-ps.org Additionally, our holiday gift drive and GoFundMe will begin shortly, so please be on the lookout. Last year we raised more than $2,000 and I’m confident we can do it again!

We are excited to announce that December 12th from 5-7 pm is our first Multicultural Night! We are hoping that you will all join us right here at Consentino to celebrate our diverse community and showcase our cultures from all over the world! There will be food samplings, raffles, music, community resources, and more!!

This is a community event and will be made possible with parent, guardian, family and staff volunteers! Please note that there will be small samplings of cultural food but no actual meal will be provided.

If you are interested in attending and/or volunteering for this event please register via this Google form:

You can also send the school an email if that is easier: Jenniffer.cabreravicente@haverhill-ps.org. This is a free event!

Ways to support this event:

  • Wear clothing that represents your culture

  • Make and give out bite-size food from your culture (bring in a flag for your table and post ingredients in case of any allergies.)

  • Bring in items from your culture to display

  • Offer a performance that represents your culture

  • Offer an activity that represents your culture

  • Anything else you’d like to offer just let us know!

8th Grade Families:
8th grade families are invited to join the Remind group for the Washington, DC trip. This is how we’ll communicate for meetings, fundraising, etc. Once we’re on the trip we’ll also share pictures and updates. To join visit https://www.remind.com/join/abcindc25.

As a quick reminder, students should not be on school grounds before 8:05 am unless they are in the morning Discovery Program or a specific before school activity such as Art Club.

Enjoy the weekend!
