Hello Families,
As May draws to a close, we celebrate the completion of MCAS testing for our students. We are proud of their hard work and focus during this time. With testing wrapping up, our focus shifts entirely to finishing the school year strong and preparing for our move into the new Consentino building next year.
End of May Highlights
May 4-8 is Teacher Appreciation Week!
City-wide Track Meet: Grades 5 and 6 will participate in the track meet on Thursday, May 21st, from 3:00 - 4:30 pm at Haverhill High.
Multi-cultural Night: Our second annual celebration is on Thursday, May 21st, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. We are seeking parent, student, and staff volunteers to share cultures through art, music, dance, poetry, food, and more. Please sign up for the potluck and/or to lead activities (like teaching dance styles such as merengue or bachata) by filling out the volunteer Google form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSel9k0OE7PEJZrDYAfSXgxqIdG5xbQSBWTRHmCYWYNzsT1ECQ/viewform
Memorial Day Parade: Advanced Band students will march in the Haverhill Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25th.
Chorus and Jazz Band Concert: The Consentino Chorus and All City Middle School Jazz Band will perform on Tuesday, May 26th, at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria.
As a reminder, after-school tutoring for grades 7 and 8 is still available every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday until 3:45 pm. Please take advantage of this opportunity for extra help or to raise grades; permission slips are in the office.
June End-of-Year Activities
Please mark your calendars for these important final events:
Advanced Band Performance at HHS Graduation: The Consentino Advanced Band will perform with the High School Band on Friday, June 5th.
Last Day of Loop Program: The program concludes on Wednesday, June 10th
New Consentino Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: Join us for the dedication of the new building on Monday, June 15th, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The Consentino Advanced Band will perform at this ceremony.
Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony: Our eighth-grade students will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16th. Students should arrive at 5:00 pm, and the ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm.1
